Nashotah Park

It may be starting to get a bit cold....but I thought I could share this with dog owners! A while ago my family and I decided to take our dogs on a walk in Nashotah Park here in Wisconsin. So, we went and had a nice walk and found out that there are these new dog "arenas" there (one for big dogs and one for small dogs). We got to take our dogs into there, and they had a lot of fun! You are able to go in there with a bunch of other dogs, and it was nice to get our dogs to socialize a little bit!!! :) Here is a link to tell you a bit more about the dog areas:

Hope this helps to get out some of your dog's energy!!! =]

Free kittens!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say that today at Friends of Nature in Oconomowoc, there were two free kittens!!! They were the cutest little things, and I just wanted to let you all know if you were interested!!!!!! I know for sure one little brown and dark brown striped one was a boy (looked a bit like the kitten in the picture on the bottom, but more brown), and there was one that was gray and white striped (looked kind of like the one on the top, but with more white). As I know I would think they were still there, but I'm not totally sure. I was there this morning at probably around 11:00 or 11:30.

A story about Lacey

Hi!! I have a little story to tell you about our dog Lacey. She just got spayed not just this past Monday, but the Monday before. She had six stitches on her stomach from it, and we were going to make an appointment to take her to the vet to get her stitches removed (the vet said it should be 10-14 days after she was spayed). Well, today it was 10 days since she got spayed, and we thought that we could just take them out ourselves. We were wrong! We went to start to take them out, and we saw how tightly they were tied on. There were only a few that we could even cut off!!! We, then, got scared because one of the places where we got a stitch out looked like it was starting to open up!!! So, we called the vet and had to take her in. It turns out that she was fine but on Tuesday we are taking her back in to have the other stitches removed. So, my point after all of this is that you should NOT try to take your dog's stitches out!!!!! It is a lot better to just have a vet take them out and clean out where the incision was!!!!

SnuggleSafe

Today my mom and I wanted to look up on the computer what we could do to keep our bunny's warm in the winter. Well, we were looking, and we saw something called the SnuggleSafe. The SnuggleSafe is a disc that you can put in your microwave to heat it up and then put it under your dog's or cat's blankets or in your bunny's cage, and it will stay warm for 10 hours!!! We bought 2 of them and are just waiting for them to come in the mail. We looked at a bunch of comments about it and almost every single person loved it! Just wanted to let you guys know!! Here is the link to look at it:

A passage from the Bible I'd like to share

We are doing a bible study for school, and we were suppose to look these up. I read them and really liked them, so I thought I'd share them!!!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (NIV)
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Our cats

Now a little bit about cats!! We have two cats, Daisy (the striped one) and Penelope (the black one with the white spot). We got Daisy from our next door neighbor. Daisy is "the princess of cats" and loves to sleep in the basket that we have that is full of blankets!!! Penelope, on the other hand, is the "hunter of all cats" and is always ready to chase after a mouse outside! We got her from our friend's cat that had kittens. Cats are a nice addition to our family!! If you are thinking about getting a cat and you have any questions, I'd be happy to try and help you!!! :D

Our dogs

We have two dogs. One is a labradoodle and the other is a pomeranian bichon mix. Our labradoodle (her name is Bailey) is about 3 years old and our pomeranian/bichon (her name is Lacey) is about 6 months old, just a little pup! We have had Bailey since she was just a little puppy!!! Bailey is a great dog that always loves to be with you and is ALWAYS wagging her tail! Lacey is very sweet...she just sometimes likes to do naughty things!!! But, of course we have to remember that she is a puppy, and all puppies are naughty! She, though, is very snuggly and loves to chase you when you are running!!!!

My best friend-Summer

Now I'm going to talk a bit about my horse, Summer! She is such a sweet heart! She is about 18 years old, but has a lot left in her! She use to be ridden every day so she is still in good shape and does still have spunk!! She is 15 hands high and is a dark bay. I board her right down the road from my house so I can even bike there! She can jump a little bit, so that is fun too. I love to jump on and go bareback with her! That is me and her in the picture! :)

My bunnies

I just wanted to talk a little bit about bunnies! I'm not an expert on them, but I know a few things about them because I have two of them (well, one is mine and the other one is my sister's). We have two holland lops. My sister's bunny's name is Snickers (that's me holding him when he was little in the picture), and my bunny's name is Smokey (in the picture on the upper left hand corner of the page, when he was younger). Snickers is about 6 months and 3 weeks old, and Smokey is 4 months and 1 week old!! We keep them outside in our gazebo and they each have their own little hutch! They are both very cute! And if you have questions or comments, I would love to see them! :)
